Obama Vetos Student Loan Planhttp://www.cnn.com/2012/04/27/politics/house-student-loans/index.html

I believe that Obama has really great intentions for Woman regarding the issues of breast cancer and trying to get more funds for the health care program. But, i greatly disagree with the statement since it would be cutting down the funds for college students loans. Loans are already expensive as they are and they should be reduced or minimized. According to Obama this plan wouldn't really effect the students who are attending college and are receiving these loans since the loan rates and prices would remain the same. Even though they aren't raising up higher they aren't lowering down neither making this a problem that nothing is being done to help students who may need loans in school and the prices for them are too high. Obama states that people themselves wanted to get more funds for woman with breast and cervical cancer which in fact is a false statement according to" Boehner said Obama proposed budget called for reducing the same health care fund, which he labeled a "slush fund."
"You may have already forgotten that several months ago, you all voted to cut $4 billion out of this slush fund to pay for the payroll credit bill" that extended a payroll tax cut, Boehner continued, shouting, "So, to accuse us of wanting to gut women's health is absolutely not true."
Many people may say that this is a great thing that Obama is trying to do for woman but, you also have to put into consideration that a lot of money is being put into this problem and all other problems are being ignored all together thinking that by solving one problem all problems will be solved.
According to Pelosi he said that "House Republicans were forced by Obama publicizing of the issue to reverse their previous opposition to keeping the interest rates on federal student loans at the current 3.4% instead of letting them double to 6.8% on July 1." This is a very unfair rate for loans they are definitely not steady in any way and are in fact just a way to take advantage of all the students who attend college and may have student loans.

Health care for everyone!http://duyvuworldwidenews.blogspot.com/
According to the blog we are supposed to accept and allow health care for everybody. I believe that Health Care should be an option that people should decide on what health care they should get and whether they should even get it or not. Many families don't always have enought money to pay for a Health Care so the money they would use for paying for health care they use to pay rent and to feed their families. If everybody would use heallth care it would be rather expensive and it would definetaly not be in some peoples budgets to pay for it. Many people do get sick very often but then again theres those people who the health care program would benifiet the least since they don't really get sick all that much often and only get sick with simple things such as a flu or a cold. Most of the people who want the Health Care program to take place are people who already have a present illnes and they want their medications to become much cheaper which is what the Health Care program would help with since its costly but, it dosent cost as much as they would be paying for if they didn't have it and they would have to pay their medications and treatments with.

The U.S National Government is a government that is divided up into three main branches. The judicial branch, executive, and legislative branch. Each branch is supposed to have an equal amount of power that is supposed to be shared among them. Even though at time it may not seem like it. The judicial branch is the branch in which the United States government is responsible for the administration of justice. Th legislative branch is the branch in which has power to legislate the United States. And the executive branch is the branch of government in which the United States government is responsible for carrying out the laws. These 3 branches carefully work together to try and make life much easier for citizens whenever trying to decide which laws should be passed and which of those shouldnt. Many important decisions are made and carried out with the three main branches of government. The U.S National Government has a very strcit process when it comes to changing a bill into a law. First in order for a bill to even be brought up many citizens must come up with the idea and bring it to the attention of  a member from congress to even be considered to be an idea. The president and his administration can also suggest an idea for a bill if they wanted to. Representatives need a copy of the bill and have to specifically place it into a bin where all the other new suggested bills are placed. After a bill is aproved to be a bill it is then reffered to the whole house in which they have to vote if they want the bill to pass or not. If the bill is passed it is then organized and published, all documents that are approved in the white house are marked in blue. After all amendments are offered and voted upon, and all Senators who wish to talk have had a chance to, the bill is put forth for a vote. Once a bill leaves the House and Senate the bill must be checked and revised to make sure it is almost perfect. The bill can't have any puncuation problems at all or else it is reconciled. If the bill is free of any mistakes, errors or mis interpretations then it is sent over straight to the president where even he can decide if the bill should be passed as a law. If the president agrees on it then it is past and the bill is turned into a law. If the bill does not pass though it is sent back in which the house has to vote on it again and if it is more than the needed amount of votes then the bill is passed regaurdless whether the president wanted to pass it as a law or not. Its quite complicated in all the steps a bill must go through in order for it to become a law.
Our National Government has many laws that the citizens and its leaders in power must accept to in order for our government to be functional. I think that the rules that are set forth are acceptable for example in order to become eligible to run for the President Of The United States you must be national born, 35 years old, and you must have been a resident of the United States for at least 14 years. Some may think that these standards are to strict but, in fact they are set forth in order to make sure that random people from other countries don't try and attempt to run president and perhaps try and control the entire United States. Our national Government has 538 total Electors, which is decided by the number of Representatives plus the number of senators. In order to become a member of the senate one must be 30 years old, a citizen for 9 years, and live in the state in which you are hoping to get elected for. usually when it comes to presidents to get elected the most common advantages they might have is if they have name recognition, incubency advantage, trappings of the office and franking privellage.

USA Today When it comes to technology we all love to hear about the latest new phones, ipods, and t.vs that are out there. Technology also has its ups and downs just as well though as everything else. In the blog entry titled Technology Live the intended audience is towards commuters who are always dashing through the busy streets of city's.A particular scooter named Scoot is a scooter that involves using the technology of your cell phone. You use an app on your iPhone to reserve a scooter in a particular area and then use your cell phone as a key to the scooter. The author argues that this would be a great opportunity for technology to greatly improve and for other people to be more motivated into making inventions such as the Scoot for people to use in their every day lives. Their claim is that it will make it much quicker for people to get around since they can just reserve the scooter and it will be available for them to use when they need to, they also claim to say that it would be a price of $5 for an hour and discounts will be made for those who use it on a regularly basis. They try and convince people by saying that people will get a discount since everybody loves to get discounts on things. Their evidence to this claim that it will work sufficiently is that "it is a hybrid of three new but proven technologies: Chinese electric motorbikes (tens of millions are on the road, growing by over 10 million per year); European bike sharing (hundreds of cities have deployed such systems in recent years); and real-time, mobile transportation services (e.g. Get Around, Uber)". Their logic is if they give people a couple numbers of other people who are using a technology similar to the Scoot then they will be easily persuaded into this new idea and invention.

I don't really agree with this argument as much since not everybody has the iPhone and some people have other models and types of cell phones. This invention would not really be an invention that everybody could experience since in order to reserve and actually use the Scoot scooter you must purchase the iPhone. I believe this isn't really a technology for improving the way that people move around in the busy streets but a way for the iPhone company's to make more business and cell more phones. If people do like the idea of the scoot scooter they will have to go and buy an iPhone in order to experience this new kind of technology which wouldn't be fair to the other people who don't have these phones. A good technology improvement would be something that would better things for people and make it easier for them not more costly as in having to go buy a new phone in order to be updated with everybody else. If you pay attention to this blog closely it can actually be looked at as an add for people to go and buy an iPhone since technologies are starting to revolve around them and the will be occurring very soon.

On February 23 The Los Angeles Times publiished a new article on Immigrants getting drivers license

The author’s intended audience was towards people who live in states that have a high a percentage of immigrants that come in to their state and are driving around illegally with out a drivers license. Sheriff Baca's argument in this article is that he believes immigrants should go and get a drivers license and apply for all the things they need to towards becoming a citizen and also pay for car insurance just like the rest of us do. His logic to this conclusion is that if immigrants got their drivers license then less people would leave after an accident. Sheriff Baca states that most often people leave after an accident has occured because they are afraid of the consequences since they are not from the united states and they don't have drivers license so allowing them to get their drivers license would greatly minimize this percentage of people who leave during accidents because, if they have a drivers license then therefore they will not leave. I agree with this logic since there is a lot of illegal immigrants that are out there driving and allowing them to recieve a drivers license would also make driving on the road much safer and could possible minimize car accidents as well. Its only fair if immigrants want to come into our country that they also do the things that all citizens in the United States have to do and have such as having to earn and get a drivers license to drive on the road. If immigrants got their drivers license "On Wednesday, Beck said he does not believe licenses for illegal immigrants should be identical to standard licenses, saying "it could be a provisional license, it could be a non-resident license." By giving immigrants a different type of license it can help us determine whether or not to also make them a citizen by taking how they drive in consideration such as if they are always caught drunk driving then that would be a penalty towards becoming a citizen but it would help with many accidents that occur on the road if they had drivers license to determin who they are in case of a fatal accident.

 No child left behind
Things constantly change in our government everyday whether we may notice it or not. For example, in the article it talks about how Obama had made a program called the "No child behind". This program was made to be put into schools across the United States to ensure that schools would higher their testing scores especially in math and science since, those are generally the lower grade percentages in schools. About a decade after president Obama passed this law he gave 10 states a break on the crucial standards allowing them to adjust to the "No child left behind" program.  New Jersey, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, Indiana, Colorado, Minnesota and Oklahoma were of the first states who received this special waiver on Thursday from President Obama. He allowed them to make up their own percentages of what they believed would be acceptable and good for their schools as long as they were higher than before and that they would continue on improving their students education until there was a bare minimal of students who weren’t being successful at school. Some people’s reactions to this was that they disliked it very much since they said their children’s education was not some sort of poker chip to be throwing around and be messing with. This would be a very good article for people of any age to read whether you have small children or not because, it affects many people. You may not have children but, you may have brothers and sisters who are still very young and all these laws that are being passed will be affecting them. Laws that get passed on education are very important and should be taken seriously since the youth of the United States are of course how they say the future. If we don't learn how to educate the future of the United States then we won’t be able to get very far in Government or in anything else around the world. This is definitely an article worth reading because, it keeps you informed about what is happening around the world up to this day concerning politics and laws on education which to many of us is very important and is why we’re all going to school rite now.
